Location
Val di Fiemme and Val di Fassa: a paradise of hospitality in every season
The Val di Fiemme , where our Wellness Lusia Ski is located, is a valley in Eastern Trentino, surrounded by the Val di Fassa, the Val d'Ega and the Valsugana. The largest municipalities in the valley are Predazzo and Cavalese, famous summer and winter tourism locations, thanks to a spectacular natural location and a historic and deep-rooted hospitality. The valley represents a perfect combination of the best ski slopes , picturesque and enchanted villages where wood and the Paneveggio Forest dominate where this wood comes from: still today, after 9 centuries by the Magnificent Community of Val di Fiemme, as a testimony of the strong symbiosis between this land full of greenery and the people who live there. In every season this valley is perfect to fully enjoy the regenerating potential of nature, all to experience both with the slowness of walking, trekking and with the speed and adrenaline of mountain biking, skates, board or skis.
In Val di Fassa , reachable from Predazzo, skirting the course of the fishy stream Avisio you dive even more into the high mountains of the Dolomites, beyond which lie the Val Gardena and the Cadore. Val di Fassa is famous not only for winter tourism but also for summer tourism, when the white blanket of snow gives way to the green woods of the Torri del Vajolet , the Sella Group and the Marmolada . The landscape, however, both in summer and winter remains magical, especially in two particular moments of the day, sunrise and sunset, thanks to the phenomenon of Enrosadira. This particular term in the Ladin language means "to become pink" and refers to the particular pink coloration that the Dolomites take on, a UNESCO heritage site since 2009. The phenomenon is due to the composition of the rock containing calcium and magnesium carbonate: any scientific description however he will never be able to explain the feeling of visiting them perhaps on a field trip.
BELLAMONTE AND PREDAZZO
Bellamonte is the town where the Lusia Ski Wellness facility is located, at an altitude of 1373 meters, once considered the "mountain of hay" of the Val di Fiemme and today a renowned tourist resort with its characteristic wooden huts at the foot of the Paneveggio National Park - Pale di San Martino. In the forest of the park you can admire the beautiful spruces from which they are produced, in a quantity that respects the times and possibilities of nature, the harmonic speakers of musical instruments. The Bellamonte - Alpe Lusia ski lift facilities also depart from the resort.
The town is a fraction of Predazzo , at an altitude of 1000 meters, the most populous village in the Val di Fiemme, a unique place in the world given the wider geological concentration existing on Earth. In addition to geology, to art we recall the peculiarity of the "Bosco che suona" (where resonant firs have been baptized by many classical musicians of international renown such as the violinist Uto Ughi). Clearly winter sports are the masters, such as the Ski Jumping Stadium (which hosted the Nordic Ski World Championships in 91, 2003 and 2013), the Latemar Alpine Ski Center, the Bellamonte-Alpe Lusia ski area and the cross-country track where the famous Marcialonga is held every year, which attracts athletes and enthusiasts from all over the world.
TRENTINO AND SURROUNDINGS
Madonna di Campiglio , in the Brenta Dolomites, is an obligatory stop for those who love alpine skiing, with its famous Spinale Direttissima, with a max gradient of 70% or the Canalone Miramonti theater of some of the most beautiful firms of Alberto Tomba in World Cup. With its 160 km of ski slopes and 80 ski lifts, Madonna di Campiglio does not disappoint fans, relying on a unique combination with its classy shops and the nightlife of its historic center.
For art lovers, especially the modern and contemporary, a visit to the MART in Rovereto and to the House of Futurist Art Fortunato Depero cannot be missed. For those who are really passionate about art and are interested in buying paintings and art objects, we recommend the Dolomia Auction House, near the Rovereto Castle.
Trento the provincial capital is a gem set at the foot of the mountains and crossed by the Adige, and should be discovered slowly, sipping a hot drink in Piazza Duomo, getting lost in the alleys of the historic center, visiting the Castello del Buonconsiglio, exploring the belt of the forts that surround the city and plunging into its rich nature.
VERONA
A short distance from the Val di Fiemme, the next largest city (as well as the nearest airport) is Verona , a city known throughout the world for the poignant beauty and perfect acoustics of the Arena, where you can enjoy the performances of international artists, opera and philharmonic orchestras from all over the world. Another walk not to be missed is the one from Piazza Bra to the famous balcony of Romeo and Juliet in the places immortalized by Shakespeare for eternity.
VENICE
In every season, a visit to Venice to totally change the landscape and the panorama cannot miss: do not miss the opportunity to visit the most unique city in the world and certainly among the most beautiful. Venice needs no introduction: Rialto, Piazza San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs are places that the whole world envies us and where anyone hopes to visit at least once in their life. Luxury shopping is a cult in Venice, but if you think about it you can find it in any famous European city: if you are looking for uniqueness and exclusivity, we recommend a visit to the Murano glassworks, where craftsmanship becomes art true.
CORTINA D'AMPEZZO
As well as Madonna di Campiglio, Cortina d'Ampezzo also combines luxury shopping, winter nightlife and the best Italian ski slopes, the theater of the Olympics and the World Championships. Precisely the look that is being redone in view of the 2026 Olympics shared with Milan, absolutely deserves a visit starting from the parlor of the town, Corso Italia.
